Owner Reveals What They Feed Their 23-Year-Old Cat—the Internet Loves It
The owner of a 23-year-old cat named Effie has revealed what she feeds her feline to “keep her alive for so long,” in a viral TikTok video that has delighted social media users.
In the post shared on Tuesday, under the username @kateisaac25, the senior cat can be seen licking a heart-shaped treat made of dried meat, as layover text in the clip explains:
“People always ask what we feed our 23-year-old cat to keep her alive for so long but the truth is that at this age she gets to eat whatever she wants. Today she felt like purr pops and rotisserie chicken.”
She also adds in the caption: “After many years and many food brands, she’s at a stage where keeping her weight on is what’s important for her.”
